Bliksem (2021)
Waste wood (1000 x 150 x 25 mm)

Electricity passes through the paths with the least resitance, which is why we often see lightning branches. Bliksem is a biomorphic path created in Grasshopper that mimics the paths of lightning strikes in nature.

The path was created for robotic milling with a 6-axis robot arm. As the path gracefully extends, the pattern progressively divides into fewer layers. This design choice establishes varying depths in the workpiece, capturing both the elegance and raw power reminiscent of the strong natural force.
